Land Acknowledgement
LCAL would like to acknowledge the traditional territories and oral practices of Blackfoot Nations, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai. We also acknowledge the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Metis Nation, and all people who make their homes in the region we serve.

Mission Statement
Lethbridge County Adult Learning seeks to enrich the quality of life, promote lifelong learning, increase awareness of the community and assist individuals in developing foundational skills through the Community Learning programs.
To realize this mission we will enhance access, increase capacity with post-secondary institutions and strengthen successful transitions.
Introduction to CALP
This video introduces the Community Adult Learning Program (CALP), which serves as a foundational pillar for lifelong learning and community growth. We explore how local programs provide accessible adult literacy, foundational skills, and learning opportunities. We also highlight the dedicated staff, volunteers, and learners who shape our vibrant educational community and drive success across the region.
PROGRAM GOALS
- To improve the accessibility of learning opportunities and address education, training and learning gaps in Lethbridge County.
- To provide opportunities for adults to acquire important foundational skills such as literacy and English as a Second Language.
- To mobilize community volunteers and other resources in support of adult learning.
- To contribute to solving individual and community problems through learning initiatives, in coordination and cooperation with related organizations.
